26 Feb 2010 - Term 1 Grading The term 1 grading for Bendigo and Heathcote branches will be held on Wednesday 24th March 2010 at the Barrack Reserve Hall, Heathcote starting at 6:00PM. All grading applications must be submitted by Wednesday 17th March. 24 Jan 2010 - Training Starts Training has started again. see you all soon. 17 Dec 2009 - Next Year, 2010 Training starts next year on Wednesday 27 January 2010. Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year. 17th December 2008 - Jake Stobaus wins Trophy Congratulations to Jake Stobaus for winning the Jim Snudden Memorial Trophy for 2009. 10 Dec 2009 - Breakup The branch breakup will be held on Wednesday 16th December 2009 starting at 6:00PM. We will have a demonstration, grading results, awards and something to eat & drink. Please bring your family to see you in the demonstration. 21 Nov 2009 - Term 4 Grading The term 4 grading for Bendigo and Heathcote branches will be held on Wednesday 9th December 2009 at the Bendigo Branch, St Paul's Hall, Myers Street, Bendigo starting at 6:00PM. 21 October 2009 - Vale Trevor Ellis It is with great sadness that we advise of the passing of Trevor Ellis; long time member, black belt and instructor. Trevor passed away peacefully on Thursday 15th October 2009 at Bendigo Hospice after a short illness. We will always remember Trevor's smiling face , his inquisitive nature and willingness to help anyone with their techniques. The club was represented at his funeral today by many current and previous members as well as members of Hapkido and Tai Chi clubs, showing the respect with which Trevor was held in the Bendigo martial arts community. Our thoughts are with Trevor's family and friends. 6 October 2009 - National Championship Results Congratulations to all our competitors in the National Championships held in Brisbane over 1st to 4th October. All our members medalled with a great result for the club of 3 Gold, 3 Silver and a Bronze. All the individual competitors either medalled or just missed so well done everyone. The Champion of Champions was a new event this year with all black belt winners competing against each other regardless of age or rank.

24 August 2009 - Victorian Selection Championship Results Congratulations to all our medallists from the Victorian Selection Competitions held at SNHC over the last 3 weeks. All competitors have now qualified for the Victorian team to contest the national championships in Brisbane on October 1st to 4th.

24 June 2009 - Goodbye Josh Sadly we say goodbye to Joshua McIntosh who is leaving Bendigo to take up a job in Melbourne. Josh started with us 6 years ago and earned his 1st Dan in December 2007. Since then he has been of great assistance in teaching the younger members of the club We wish Josh all the best for the future and hope to see him occassionally. 15 June 2009 - Term 2 Grading moved to Heathcote Mr Rozinszky has decided to move the term 2 grading for Bendigo and Heathcote branches to Heathcote. 16th March 2009 - Term 1 Grading Change of Date The term 1 grading for Bendigo and Heathcote branches will now be held on Sunday 29th March 2009 at the Barrack Reserve Hall, Heathcote starting at 2:00PM. Click here for a map: http://www.whereis.com/vic/heathcote/16-wright-st?id=6627A20D5CBBBA 5th March 2009 - Term 1 Grading The term 1 grading for Bendigo and Heathcote branches will be held on Wednesday 1st April 2009 at the Barrack Reserve Hall, Heathcote starting at 6:00PM. 16th February 2009 - New Hall You have probably heard that the cathedral has been closed due to the poor state of its roof so services have moved into the hall and we have moved into the Anderson room. It's smaller than the hall but still large enough for us so there are no issues and are back into full training again. 12th January 2009 - Training Starts Soon Training starts again for 2009 on Wednesday 28th January - same place, same time. 16th December 2008 - Paul Turpie wins Trophy Congratulations to Paul Turpie for winning the Jim Snudden Memorial Trophy for 2008. All performed very well and were a credit to their instructors and the club. 4th December 2008 - Breakup & Next Year The breakup night will be held on Monday 15th December at 6PM with a demonstration, grading results, awards and a party. Training for next year starts on Wednesday 28th January 2009. See you all then. 17th November 2008 - Term 4 Grading The term 4 grading for Bendigo and Heathcote branches will be held on Wednesday 10th December 2008 at St. Paul's Hall, Myers St. Bendigo starting at 6:00PM sharp. 19th October 2008 - Heathcote Junior Competition Results Congratulations to all the juniors who competed at the Central Victorian Junior Competition in Heathcote. All Bendigo juniors returned home with a medal. 6th October 2008 - Selections Results The Selection Event for the World Poomsae Championships, Oceania Championships and Commonwealth Championships was held at the AIS in Canberra on 4th and 5th October. MTC again had great result with the following people selected to represent Australia.
8th September 2008 - Nationals Results Congratulations to the following club members who competed at the National Championships in Sydney last week. Everyone achieved a personal best and should be very proud their achievement regardless of the the result.
29th August 2008 - Term 3 Grading The term 3 grading for Bendigo and Heathcote branches will be held on Wednesday 17th September 2008. Where: Barrack Reserve Hall, Heathcote When: 6:00PM sharp Grading applications must be submitted to your instructor one week before the grading. 7th August 2008 - On to the National Championships After their success at the Victorian Championships, 7 members are now training hard for the National Championships to be held in Sydney on 4th September. They are: Black belts: Suzanne Camm, Joshua McIntosh and David Atkinson Red belt: Paul Turpie Blue belt: Daniel Atkinson Yellow belts: Jake and Owen Stobaus 28th July 2008 - Victorian Poomse Championship Success! The Victorian Poomsae Championships were held on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July 2008. Bendigo branch had 8 members competing (4 Seniors and 4 Juniors) and ALL returned home with a medal. We got a total of 4 GOLD and 6 SILVER medals (or 9 Silver if you count all pair and team medals). Detailed results are below but there is a lot more to a competition like this than just the performance on the day and all members trained hard 4 nights a week for the 3 weeks prior to the competition to improve their skills. For several of the competitors, this was their first competition so they should be very proud of their achievement. Since everyone medalled (some more than once), they are all now eligible to join the Victorian team to compete in Sydney at the Australian Championships.
