The Deakin University Taekwondo club began in 1993.

Since then members have been well represented at each Intervarsity and university competitions with a large degree of success. This success has included numerous gold medals, having team members selected to represent Australia at the World University Games and being declared the Deakin team of the year in 2003.

Individuals from our club have gone on to enjoy great success at state, national and international levels of competition.

Our club operates as a member of the Melbourne Taekwondo Centre, one of the largest, eldest and most respected clubs to operate within Australia.

We are very proud to be able to state that our members have proven just as capable as those of the full time clubs as evident from our competition and grading results.

Deakin Taekwondo has established itself on a basis of blending the traditional skills and values of a martial art with the youthful energy and free thinking commonly associated with university students.
